Paul Miki and Companions February 6th
Nagasaki is well known amongst the Catholics of Japan. It is also
know throughout the world as being the second city on which an atomic bomb
was dropped. In 1597, twenty-six Catholics were lead to the top of a hill
overlooking Nagasaki and were martyred.
Paul Miki joined the Society of Jesus and became a Brother. He preached
the Gospel with success. When the persecutions started, he was arrested.
After being subjected to intense tortures, he was finally crucified at
Nagasaki.
