Apostleship of Prayer - Saints

November 16th

On November 16th we honour two Women Saints, Margaret of Scotland and Gertrude. Gertrude was born in Thuringia in 1256. She was educated by the Cistercian Nuns in the fields of Philosophy and the humanities. She then dedicated her life to God. Margaret was born in Hungary and was given in mariage to Malcom, King of the Scots. She bore him eight children; she was an outstanding example of being a Queen and at the same time a mother.
